Community Navigators is a new service jointly commissioned by Herts Valleys Clinical Commissioning Group (HVCCG) and Hertfordshire County Council which aims to help people find their way around local health and care services.
The Dacorum Community Navigator will be part of a small team in West Hertfordshire offering a face to face service to vulnerable people or those who are unsure or anxious about finding the right service to help them. The team of Navigators will complement the work of HertsHelp the organisation that offers a telephone and electronic advice service.
Dacortium Director Mark Mitchell said “Dacortium is delighted to be managing the Community Navigators service in Dacorum. This is Dacortium’s first contract and clearly demonstrates how working in partnership with other like-minded organisations we can bring about real benefit in our community”.
The official launch of Dacortium takes place on Wednesday 1st October at Dacorum Civic Centre in Hemel Hempstead. During the day Dacortium will be hosting two events for providers / commissioners of public services and prospective members of the consortium.
